Benefits
TextureJet utilises its patented electrochemical jet machining
TextureJet utilises its patented Electrochemical Jet Machining (ECJM) technology to create precise, selective surface finishes in any conductive metal workpiece. In addition to the application benefits, the technology offers some significant improvements to other surface finishing technologies.

Easily machine most components
As this is an electrochemical process, the material hardness or toughness does not impact the finishing of the parts. So long as the component is a conductive metal, it can be machined by ECJM.
With many different ways to apply our technology, complex shapes and geometries are not a problem for our technology.

Increase process efficiency and quality
Electrochemical machining is incredibly effective as a technology – it is easily possible to achieve 100% efficiency when machining workpieces.
One of the key benefits of this technology is the removal of the need for masking parts – the process only happens under the jet itself, meaning the rest of the workpiece is unaffected. This saves time, cost and waste of applying and removing the masking during machining operations.
When processing using ECJM, you remove a lot of the risks to the quality of your product from the equation. Electrochemical machining is a non-contact process which cannot cause micro-cracking, deformations or residual stresses in your workpieces. Because the process is non-contact, thin walled and easily damaged workpieces can be processed without risking damage.

Naturally safe for the environment and operators health and safety
TextureJet has designed the process to utilise pH-neutral, salt-based electrolytes. These are all recycled and filtered automatically, causing very little environmental impact during processing.
The waste that is produced is very safe and easy to handle and recycle. There are minimal power requirements, with a maximum processing power of 1 kWh consumption.
For operators, there are no fumes or dust extraction requirements during processing as all waste is dissolved and washed away by the process. There is very little noise, no vibration risk and no physical strain to the operator therefore no specialised PPE is required to use the equipment.
