Our patented technology is used to roughen or apply a texture to components in order to prepare the surface for adhesive bonding, sealants and coatings.
Unlike current technologies, no masking is required and the procedure can be carried out in-situ.

In composite to metal bonding, grit/media blasting is commonly used to roughen the bonding area to improve the strength of the bond.
Typically, grit blasting is limited to and results in surface roughness around Ra 3.5μm in titanium and Ra 6.5μm in aluminium.
In comparison, our technology can readily produce a wider range of surface roughness in excess of Ra 10μm. This has been demonstrated to further improve the strength of the composite to metal adhesive bonds.
