Technology
TextureJet’s core technology is Electrochemical Jet Machining (EJM), a highly localised variant of Electrochemical Machining (ECM) that allows precise material removal at the atomic level without compromising surface integrity or physical properties like hardness and toughness.
Unlike ECM, which requires masking and operates in a submerged process, EJM uses an unsubmerged jet delivery system, enabling selective material removal with higher efficiency. This approach achieves superior mass transport rates, higher current densities, and up to 100% machining efficiency, all while maintaining electrochemical precision.

Applications

Our patented STAT technology offers unparalleled flexibility, delivering a wide range of surface finishes for functional texturing or aesthetic purposes on conductive materials such as aluminum and titanium. Unlike laser texturing, which thermally loads surfaces and causes edge burrs that compromise tribological performance, STAT creates no burrs or surface damage, eliminating the need for additional finishing and reducing both costs and processing time.
When air bearing specialists Omega Dot required spiral micro grooves with a depth of 12 micrometers for applications running at 140,000 rpm, they chose STAT for its ability to deliver precision results without thermal damage or burrs. Combined with its environmentally sound credentials, STAT technology stands out as a sustainable, efficient solution for advanced surface processing needs.
Polishing
STAT technology provides a versatile solution for polishing component surfaces, whether for decorative purposes, reducing roughness, descaling, or removing cast layers.
