TextureJet Launches Rental Model for High-Precision Surface Processing – Without the Capital Cost

TextureJet has launched a new rental model for its Electrochemical Jet Machining (EJM) technology. This model will give sub-contract manufacturers access to high-precision finishing capabilities without the need for significant upfront capital investment.

The new offering allows customers to rent EJM systems on a low monthly fee combined with a simple pay-per-minute usage model, enabling manufacturers to take on higher-value work, expand their service offering, and scale capacity in a flexible, cost-effective way.

Electrochemical Jet Machining is ideally suited to a wide range of precision surface processing applications, including:

  • Deburring and edge shaping
  • Precision surface preparation
  • Permanent part marking and traceability
  • Selective material removal on hard-to-machine alloys

The rental model is designed to support sub-contractors serving demanding sectors such as aerospace, medical, energy, and high-precision industrial manufacturing, where quality, consistency, and repeatability are critical.

By removing the barrier of large capital expenditure, the new approach enables manufacturers to:

  • Add high-margin finishing processes to their portfolio
  • Improve surface quality and process consistency
  • Reduce reliance on manual finishing methods
  • Pay only for the machine time they actually use

“Many sub-contractors see the value of advanced surface processing but are held back by the cost and risk of capital investment,” said Jonathon Mitchell-Smith, CEO and Founder, TextureJet. “Our rental and pay-per-minute model gives them a low-risk route to offer high-precision electrochemical machining, win more complex work, and grow their capabilities at their own pace.”

Availability of rental systems will be limited initially, so interested manufacturers should engage early to secure access.
