A STRATEGIC MOVE TO EXPAND CAPACITY, ACCELERATE INNOVATION, AND MEET RISING GLOBAL DEMAND
The company has relocated from its premises in Nottingham, to a larger facility in Ripley, Derbyshire, marking a significant milestone in TextureJet’s continued growth.
TextureJet originated as a PhD project at the University of Nottingham and has developed into a leader in advanced surface processing technology. Its proprietary electrochemical jet machining technology enables highly precise, selective material removal, supporting more efficient and streamlined manufacturing processes.
The innovative, globally patented technology supports a wide range of applications, including deburring, cross-hole deburring, part marking, and surface preparation for most metal surfaces.
The move reflects sustained commercial growth over the past seven years and increasing demand for TextureJet’s technology. The company is continuing to expand its global presence, exhibiting at numerous international events later this year, including IMTS Chicago and AMB Stuttgart.

The new Ripley facility provides significantly increased floorspace across two levels, with dedicated areas for research and development, expanded workshop capacity, and improved facilities for customer engagement. It will support TextureJet’s ongoing innovation, including further development of its STAT® platform, while enabling the business to scale operations, focus on research and development and grow its engineering team.
Founder and CEO Jonathan Mitchell-Smith commented: “This move marks an important milestone for the business. Our new premises give us the space and capability to scale our operations, support increasing customer demand, and continue advancing our technology. It’s an exciting step forward for the whole team that will enable us to bring advanced surface processing to even more companies.”
As TextureJet continues to scale both domestically and internationally, the new facility provides a strong foundation for the next phase of its focused development and strategic expansion, reinforcing the company’s position at the forefront of sustainable surface processing innovation.
